Hardik Patel to protest demanding 40% reservation for Patidar community in Rajkot IPL Team

RAJKOT, Once a budding cricketer, Hardik Patel has decided to take his political agitation to Indian Premiere League (IPL) by demanding 40% reservation in newly announced IPL team Rajkot.

IPL is considered to be MNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) of cricket, providing guaranteed 100 days employment to the cricketers.

Considering its importance, Hardik Patel has said that more than 1000 members of Patidar Anamat Aandolan Samiti (PAAS) will peacefully protest outside BCCI office and Rajkot Franchise owners, Intex office,  demanding 40% reservation for Patel Community in the playing 11.

"It is a very serious matter. If something happens wrong, it will spoil the image completely of yet to debut Rajkot team.",Keshav Bansal, Intex owner, told the local media in Rajkot.

Meanwhile, Police have tighten its security outside the BCCI and Intex office.
Along with Rajkot, Pune has also been announced a new team in IPL, to replace Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals who are suspended for 2 years.
