MUMBAI, Oscar fever is cruising throughout the world and has reached India in no time this year. Although this time it is in headlines for wrong reasons. Inspired by the recent Oscar snub by all black artists against no-black nominations in top acting and directing categories for the second consecutive year, Maharashtra's leading regional political party SHIV SENA have decided to not attend this year's ceremony to be held this February.
We were as shocked as you are to hear the announcement and to clear our doubts we went to interview the Shiv Sena 'karyakartas' to check the authenticity of this news.
"Yes it's true. Shiv Sena has decided to snub this year's ceremony", said a party spokesperson.
"But was shiv Sena even invited in the ceremony?", asked a correspondent.
"OF COURSE!!! How dare you ask such an offensive question to us???!!!!!"
"No Sir I didn't intend to. I just wanted to know the reason behind your snub, that's all"
"We are protesting as no Indian film received a nomination this year as well. Such discrimination will not be tolerated by us. Our black brothers and sisters are also not going this year to protest. If those Americans can stand for us against the academy, then why can't we stand for ourselves?", said the spokesperson.
"But Sir, they are not snubbing for us. Black artists are protesting for themselves, as no black actor or director is nominated in any category for second consecutive year."
"What? No..!!! That's not true. You better check your facts."
"No Sir, it's true. It's all over the news and internet these days."
"HOW DARE YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THAT YOU PETTY JOURNALIST!!!"
"But ...sir...I just stated the fact.."
"STOP OFFENDING ME...YOU ARE OFFENDING ME..."
"But...S.Sir...I said nothing offensive.."
"SHINDEEE!!! SYAHI CHHIDKO ZARA INPE..."
"Arey Sir....."
Unfortunately our correspondent could not continue with the interview. Bola tha safed shirt pehen ke mat jana...
